Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is the primary Canadian accounting designation. It combines the best of the Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and Certified General Accountant (CGA) designations.

Options for CPA PEP Include:

CPA Online PEP
- Offered directly through CPA Canada
- 6 Online Modules
- 2 Core Modules (Foundation Work)
- 2 Elective Modules
- Taxation
- Assurance
- Finance
- Performance Management
- 2 Capstone Modules
- Each module lasts approximately 8 weeks, requiring a recommended 15 hours of work per week while working full time
- Contains option to fast-track modules
- When fast-tracking modules, students take 2 modules concurrently (Core 1 and Core 2, Tax and Audit, etc.)
- Recommended to not work full time while completing fast track modules

- Offered by the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan
- 2 Summer Terms consisting of 12 Classes
- May – August: Coursework
- September – April: Work Experience
- After Completion, Students move forward and study to take the CFE

- Offered by the Alberta School of Business at the University of Alberta
- 2 Summer Terms consisting of 10 Classes
- May – August: Coursework
- September – April: Work Experience
- After Completion, Students move forward and study to take the CFE

- Offered by the Department of Management at the University of Toronto
- 16 Months of Full Time Study consisting of 25* Classes
- Note that 1 Class is a 4-month Co-op Work Term
- Program begins in Summer Term (May)
- After Completion, Students may move forward and study to take the CFE, study to become a CFA, or begin studies for ACCA exams for international certification in accounting.

- Offered by the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University
- 13 Weeks of Coursework consisting of 5 Classes
- May – July: Coursework
- After Completion, Students must still complete Capstone modules 1 and 2 of the CPA PEP program before studying to take the CFE.
